Design Philosophy

In essence, design is simply problem solving or opportunity realization. It begins with identifying and defining a situation through analyzing, understanding, and responding to a base of data, intensions and impressions. The solution to this defined situation arises from a process that is at once rational, as well as intuitive and is based upon knowledge and experience.

Every project represents a unique situation in need of the right design or concept which best fits each project and each set of needs. At PDG, our design philosophy is simple: "Excellence in the practice of our professions and a resolve to meet and exceed our clients expectations".

Finding the design or concept for a building project can, in large part, entail coordinating the individual demands and requirements of the various disciplines and "team members" involved. These include: civil, landscape architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical, in addition to building codes and local zoning ordinances shaped by our clients vision. PDG has developed a mission around this client-centered approach, which separates us from many other firms. It is an approach that can be capsulized in two words: Relationships and Teamwork.
