At PDG we see interior design as a total creative solution for a specific intended purpose. It is more than just the visual enhancement of an interior space. The  design must be practical, aesthetic, and conducive to its intended purpose. Many factors must be addressed for the design solution to work. There is the space itself, its limitations, intended use, and purpose. Light, acustics, seating, storage, as well as health and safety issues also must be considered. Lighting, carpeting and floor covering, paint and wall covering, glass, metal, wood, and fixtures are just some of the many items and materials available. A practical and technical appreciation for these factors, and an understanding of how peolple use and respond to them, is the key to a design solution that fits.
