Malt-O-Meal Company
Malt-O-Meal Company, the
breakfast cereal manufacturer, was started by Minneapolis miller John Campbell in 1919.
The ongoing association between Malt-O-Meal and our organization exhibits perfectly the
advantages of a good client-and-design-firm relationship. For several decades, we have
assisted in their aggressive strategic long-range plan to continually update and expand
their facilities. Working together as a team, Malt-O-Meal and our designers have completed
multiple projects, both large and small, but always meeting their specific design criteria
as a food producer with strict USDA standards of cleanliness and environment control.
In this constantly changing environment, a maintenance concern in one area of the
plant may lead to a project involving new construction techniques elsewhere; adaptive
reuse of an existing space may lead to further expansion later.
By taking an integral party of this clients ongoing planning process, we are
able to help them meet todays demands while anticipating tomorrows
technologies and challenges.

Waste Management Recycling Facility
St. Paul, MN
Responding
to the client's need for re-evaluation of the process area, PDG was able to advocate
process mechanisms which would improve the flow of product throughout the facility.
The 44,000 square foot, 40 foot high process floor coexists readily with the 2,300 square
foot, two-story office and staff facilities. Thoughtful, economical design solutions
allow this industrial processing plant to also achieve contextual sensitivity to its
neighborhood surroundings. |
