Involvement with the Texaco Xpress Lube stores originated with the creation of a new prototype needed to present a marketable retail “face,” contain high efficiency spaces, meet all applicable codes and have the ability to be replicated at a variety of sites.

This knowledgeable client was very familiar with the construction process, but needed the diverse design assistance of an experienced architectural and engineering firm. The projects are a varied form of design-build, with PDG working with both the owner and an owner representative firm which oversees construction.

From predesign and design development through construction documents, PDG tailors its service to fit the project at hand. Each of the Texaco Xpress Lube sites required a different approach to site and building design, tailored to the specific requirements of each locale; PDG became a valuable resource, researching methods to improve the building prototype.
