The Northfield Athletic club was envisioned by a group of private investors to convert the site of an existing grocery store into a state of the art athletic development and recreational fitness facility to serve individuals and families in the Northfield area. The design was envisioned as featuring racquetball courts; extensive cardiovascular fitness and weight training areas; aerobic studios; an indoor family pool as well as an indoor water park; extensive children's/youth recreation areas; social and passive areas with snack bar and concessions; locker and support facilities, all executed at high standards of design and aesthetics.
